Biodegradable Checkout Bags
Whilst in recent times the polyethylene carrier bag may have become a symbol of waste for environmental campaigns, the truth is far from that. Often carrier bags are made with recycled polymers and have high levels of non oil derived mineral fillers. The benefits when compared to other solutions following extensive published life cycle studies prove that it is an efficient, recyclable and reusable product.
The environmental profile can be enhanced further by adding Reverte™ to provide a biodegradable characteristic as an insurance policy, in the event of the bag escaping into the open environment due to littering.
Reverte™ has been successfully used for over 20 years by brand owners wanting an optimum balance of performance, material efficiency and enhanced environmental profile. Compliance of the carrier bags to ASTM D6954-24 provide consumers the confidence that the technology provides an improved outcome for the environment should the carrier bag escape into the environment.


Biodegradable Agricultural Mulch Films
Reverte™ has been included in polyethylene based agricultural mulch films to produce a biodegradable mulching film for nearly 20 years. They have been used all over the world in order to control the growing conditions of crops and enhance moisture conditions, and smooth out variations in temperature and rain fall during the growing season.
These products are an essential part of the high productivity agricultural farming required in order to meet the food demands of an increasing population.
When compared to other biodegradable agricultural mulch film solutions, polyethylene films containing Reverte™ offer much greater cost advantages, reduced weight being able to create ultrathin films and also a reduction in resources and carbon footprint when compared to other non polyolefin solutions.
Biodegradable Flexible Films & Laminates
Reverte™ has been used in a wide range of flexible film and laminates to produce a biodegradable effect. These structures can be simple polyethylene monolayer structures through to metallised multiple layers in biaxially orientated polypropylene and polyester films. The advantage of using Reverte™ is that you maintain all the high-performance properties of these speciality films such as clarity, lightweight, barrier properties with the added benefit of making them biodegradable.
